Over 30 years ago, Donée Whelan-Krause, known as Donée-san, began
exploring the connection between thought and the affect our thoughts have on wellness. Her journey as a healer has led her to many paths of study and a rich variety of experiences. A health educator, practitioner, author, and founder of OrthoKinetics, a form of functional body work. www.orthokinetics.org.
Donée-san has assisted people of all ages and backgrounds in their healing in a profoundly personal way."Many of us are looking for cures, with alternative and traditional therapies. We seek an adjustment, a remedy, a quick relief from pain. What we really seek is healing."
Diagnosed with life threatening cancer in 1981, she healed herself by learning the Macrobiotic way, changed her diet and lifestyle, and has put this learning into her own life. For the last 24 years she has been a macrobiotic whole foods chef and health educator, giving cooking classes throughout the United States. Her gentle and supportive way has encouraged thousands of people to pay attention to their internal sensations, that is to become self-aware.
Donée-san has studied at the Kushi Institute, the Vegan Macrobiotic Center and with numerous well-known Macrobiotic teachers.
